Very average pizza, but it's cheap. I've ordered a cheeseburger from here once and it was alright, nothing memorable. But I ordered lasagna once and I must say, STAY AWAY FROM THE PASTA DISHES. The sauce is canned tomato sauce and it has absolutely no flavor. I didn't even finish it for it was that bad. This place is just another fake Italian restaurant. I wouldn't go back.

The TV is way too loud and obnoxious. The $10 minimum or credit and debit cards make it impractical for lunch unless you're buying for more than one, or you can eat five pieces of pizza. Decor needs a refresh, Goodfellas movie poster? Seriously? Pizza used to be good, have to come back with cash to confirm.

We are total pizza snobs. This is one of the best pizza's ever. Dough had great flavor and texture and was cooked perfectly and thin like we love. Sauce was delicious and just the right amount of cheese. We had half cheese, hald garlic and it was perfect-fresh and cooked right. We started with garlic knots-a huge carb lunch-and they were to die for...sorry I sound like I am 12...and I am far from it ...but great pizza in Florida, in a small strip mall? Just try it...you will love it.

Very average pizza...great deal for 2 slices and a drink for $3.50 but slices were small and didn't have the flop that NY style pizza is supposed to have. Counter person not very friendly and staff did not seem attentive. WIll not be a return...see review for NY Pizza The original for our next stop

Pete's is without question the best pie in The Daytona Beach area perhaps in all if Volusia county and I should know since I am a native New Yorker and grew up on Ny and NJ pizza. Nice , Thin crispy crust , good cheesy pies covered in delicious tomato sauce hand tossed by Native New Yorkers. Simple , not fancy pizzeria. Good counter service and the old guy from Brooklyn is the real Mcoy. When I want a taste of the City this is where I go..Mangia..

What a pie! NYC served on a paper plate. This is more of a take-out pizzeria. Not so much for eat in, but when you're far from home, definitely eat in. That said, you buy a whole pie, or by-the-slice. If I recall, it was $3.50 for two slices of cheese pie, and a drink. Can't find that back home. The pie was exactly what I expected; saucy, cheesy, and greasy. The crust stood up to the messy, gooey wonderful toppings. It had a nice, crisp bottom, and a good chew. Perfectly foldable. Big bonus, the cheese was a high moisture, super stretch....buffalo mozzarella?? Tasted great! For a NYC pie, I give it 3 blisters...no, really, three blisters on my top palate! Too good to wait for it to cool off! Disregard ambiance, et al....you wanna pie, or not?

I wanted to try Pete's based on all of the positive Yelp reviews. I had an easy time ordering over the phone. I ordered a pizza with sausage, pepperoni, onions, and peppers and a cannoli. My order was ready when I arrived and a few customers were seated at the few tables. The pizza was okay. I think that my expectations were set very high due to the Yelp reviews. I was expecting the pizza to knock my socks off but it didn't. The cannoli was delicious. But it tasted like other cannolis that I've had before. My husband loved the crust!

The best pizza around. I love every bit of this place - including the banter between those behind the counter. Real hand made pizza, their Sicilian pizza is second to none!

This place makes customer service an awkward experience. One good thing is they used to have this guy who was just plan RUDE-I think he is gone..I remember a line that used to form to get this pizza but now it was barren the last time I was in there. I really think word of mouth about how rude they can be..has damaged them. They need to hire a friendly face to take just orders..I refuse now to go just because of the service I get. You will stand there and the younger one acts like your bothering him..it's just a real awkward experience..the pizza is good but the service isn't worth it.

If you are looking for a decent pie in Daytona this is the place. It has a creepy fluorescent light flicker atmosphere just like the best pizza joints in NJ. (translation: get carry out and enjoy). I like the cheese pizza, maybe with some mushrooms. It's a clean pizza flavor. If you want something unusual go for the buffalo chicken, it's spicy and bleu cheesy. Pete makes a good salad too.

I tried to order from my fellow New Yorkers but I got all the New York attitude and No Pizza.

We tried Guiseppe's, Giavanni's, Genovese's....and all of the others. Until today, I thought it was impossible to bring real NYC pizza to Florida. A waitress from another restaurant told us about Pete's. The minute you walk through the door, you know there is something seriously sacred about the place. The smell of real tomatoes and real, melted mozzarella hits you in the face. Pow! The guys are working the dough in the air and pans of "out-the-door-quick" selections of sliced pizza. You can get it by the slice, here, but we opted for a tray of ready-to-fold hot pepperoni and mozzarella pie. The owner must ship in water from NYC to make a dough so authentic. Then, he speaks, and my knees are ready to cave! He is a native New Yorker! It was hell not being able to grab a few draughts, but we were on the way to work. Once the pie was up, the head chef delivered it to the table. They do not let their pies sit around to get cold and soggy. We folded, and bit into heaven! The pies you get in the West Village and Little Italy are mere echoes of this! By the way, if you are looking for Wi-Fi or good cell connections, stay home! You have no place in a palace where people are eating real food. I don't want to hear your drama with your coach. Stay home until you grow up and are ready to appreciate the real things in life. Pete's has a sufficient number of tables inside. If you take a short walk out of your comfort zone, you might try to engage the people at the next table with some entry-level conversation. The results might surprise you. Pete's is the real deal. No pretense. These guys are experts who take pride in their product. Their product is the best in Volusia County, Pete's prices are unbelievably inexpensive but they don't cut on the fresh ingredients. Going to the Daytona 500 or to Bike Week? Go to Pete's. It is real and the best deal in town! BTW, the menu includes other Italian dishes.

Pete's has the best 'white pizza' in the area hands down! I am not a fan of red sauce and stumbled across this pizza 18 years ago and have been hooked ever since. I used to live just down the street so it was convenient however after moving across town and trying others I decided it was worth the drive. Definitely a must try!

So, being from New York its really difficult to find actual "New York Style" pizza. The best part, the owner is from New York and he owned a pizza shop there. Shall I say, authentico? My favorite is the Buffalo Chicken pizza- its loaded with chicken, cheese, hot sauce, and creamy bleu cheese dressing (AMAZING). The salads are big and they are generous with the toppings as well. All of the sandwiches that I have tried are delicious and the bread is made fresh daily. Plus, if the food isn't enough to fill you up and you are looking for a sweet treat, you must try the Zeppoli. They are also made fresh everyday. They stick them in the oven to reheat them and then toss them with powdered sugar. The overall atmosphere is great, the employees are friendly, and if you get your ordered delivered, it will arrive at its destination hot and yummy.

HORRIBLE SERVICE. Mediocre food... I've given this place several chances, but I have to say something. Food is just ok. In New York, you can go ANYWHERE and get awesome pizza but this place just has the attitude, doesn't taste the same. The guys that work here are DIRTY, unprofessional, DIRTY, unfriendly and DIRTY!!! ( How has the health department not shut this place down yet!?!?!?) Never seen ANYONE wash their hands, one guy is never wearing a hat, the counter is dirty, their clothes are filthy, the ice bin was disgusting, the tables arent cleaned, napkin dispensers were empty. they'll touch your food, then money, then food again. Food is cheap... But there's a $10 minimum for credit/debit. Why have a lunch special for $3.50 and never be able to use my card?? In conclusion, this place isn't worth a damn. Only gave it one star because I couldn't give zero.
